Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 July 2026

These documents are provided as a starting template. Before you rely on them, we recommend having them reviewed by a qualified solicitor to ensure they fit your specific business and comply with current law.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FoundrAI website, applications and services (the "Platform"), operated by FoundrAI Ltd ("FoundrAI", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who we are

The Platform is provided by FoundrAI Ltd, a company operating in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@foundrai.co.uk.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to use the Platform. By using the Platform you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may register with an email and password or via a supported third-party sign-in (e.g. Google). Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Nature of the service

FoundrAI is an information, planning and productivity tool for people exploring or running self-employed service businesses in the UK. It provides AI-generated business ideas, plans, roadmaps, marketing content, quotes and equipment suggestions, plus a marketplace for equipment packages and optional paid features.

The Platform does not provide regulated financial, legal, tax, accounting, insurance or investment advice. All outputs are guidance only and must be independently reviewed and verified by you before you rely on them. See our Disclaimer for more detail.

5. AI-generated content

Parts of the Platform use artificial intelligence to generate suggestions and content. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying any AI output before using it, including for pricing, legal, tax, safety and regulatory matters.

6. Acceptable use

When using the Platform you agree not to:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts or our systems;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation or security of the Platform;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to share;
  • misuse AI features to generate unlawful, misleading or harmful content;
  • resell or commercially exploit the Platform except as expressly permitted.

7. Purchases, subscriptions and payments

Certain features and products (including the Pro subscription and marketplace equipment packages) are paid. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full card details.

Prices are shown before checkout and may include or exclude taxes as indicated. Subscriptions renew automatically for the stated period until cancelled. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the current paid period.

Marketplace prices, package contents and startup cost figures are estimates and may change. Refunds are handled as set out in section 8. For any billing query, contact info@foundrai.co.uk.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Subscriptions: you may cancel at any time; we do not provide pro-rata refunds for the current billing period unless required by law.

Digital content and services: where you request immediate access to digital content or begin a service, you may lose the statutory 14-day cancellation right once performance has begun, to the extent permitted by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Physical equipment ordered via the marketplace is fulfilled by third-party suppliers; returns and refunds are subject to the relevant supplier's terms and your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contact us and we will help direct your request.

9. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, branding and content (excluding your own content and AI output generated for you), is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for your own business purposes. Content you generate for your own business (e.g. your plan, quotes) is yours to use.

10. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. business details, uploaded photos, customer records). You grant us a licence to host and process it solely to provide the Platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit that content and for complying with data protection law in relation to any third-party personal data (e.g. your own customers).

11. Third-party services

The Platform integrates with third parties (e.g. Stripe for payments, AI providers, email delivery and cloud storage). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Subject to that, we are not liable for business losses (including loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings), or for any indirect or consequential loss. Because outputs are estimates and guidance only, we are not responsible for decisions you make in reliance on them.

Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Platform is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Platform unlawfully. You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time from your account settings.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

17. Contact
